Things to do
Whilst only 10 miles from Belfast, Helen’s Bay is conveniently situated to the Ards Peninsula and all it has to offer and also the seaside town of Bangor. It is easily accessed from the George Best City Airport and Aldergrove International Airport and the Belfast Ferry Terminals.
Helen’s Bay golf course is within walking distance and there are 7 other challenging courses within 5 miles including Royal Belfast, Carnalea, Blackwood, Clandeboye, Bangor, Holywood and Scrabo.
If you don’t want to spoil a good walk by playing golf then the Crawfordsburn Country Park is on the doorstep. The Sea Park takes you right along the North Down Coast towards Bangor or Belfast and when you get tired then you can just hop the train and come home. The Ulster Folk and Transport Museum is well worth a visit and it is just a train journey away or less than 10 minutes by car.
In Bangor there is a great Marina and there are also fishing trips from Bangor which can be arranged.
Close by are numerous good restaurants including More, Fontanas, Sullivans
Ratz and Jeffers and we are less than 3 miles from the Culloden Hotel and Clandeboye Lodge and less than a mile from the Old Inn at Crawfordsburn.
